I came here for the happy hour, which is allowed only on the bar and the hightops on a first come first serve basis. I got in right before 6pm and got the last spot. They were so kind and rearranged things to make it more comfortable for me. The service continued to be great when I wanted to try the acclaimed crab cake from the regular menu and the bartender advised that I get the crab cake sandwich from the HH menu since it's the same size. Crab cake was good and the mustard-like sauce was tasty indeed. The outside was a little too crispy and dried out some pieces but overall solid crab cake. The brioche bun was nicely toasted and buttery, and came with tomato and lettuce too. I also got the crab hush puppies off the HH menu. It was slightly dried out but still tasty although I don't know that I'd order it again. I had a glass of Moscato which wasn't syrup but certainly sweet. I'd come back again - weekday dinners had a nice vibe, not too crowded or loud with a great view of the harbor.
The food is great here! Customer service is fast. We brought friends in town here as Rusty Scupper offered a good ambiance and a view overlooking the Baltimore Harbor. We recommend ordering anything with crabs! Loved their crab dip and cake. If you are looking for a spot that offers decent food for a reasonable price with an upscale vibe near Baltimore, recommend Rusty Scupper. I only wish they validated parking for a cheaper price / complimentary. $10 with Validation feels pricey.
Went to the Rusty Scupper for my boyfriend's birthday dinner and had a really lovely time. The restaurant itself is beautiful and overlooks the water. We were lucky enough to get a seat right next to the window so we enjoyed beautiful views of the inner harbor. The food was delicious and very decadent. Seriously, prepare to leave in a food coma. We split the cream of crab soup then I had a crab cake with roasted veggie and he had a filet with mashed potatoes. The crab cake was my favorite. The service is great, as well. This is a perfect spot for a special occasion meal!
Me and my boyfriend went for brunch on a Sunday. Service was great. Good delicious. I can't say anything wrong about our experience. You got unlimited food and drinks for an hour and half. They had a live band playing. They had a waffle table,Raw bar, ham and roast station, desert station, omelettes with all the fixings including crab, then your buffet with shrimp and grits, eggs salmon, biscuits and gravy, salads and much more. You got unlimited sangrias, mimosas, champagne. Well worth the money. Reservations is needed. Someone got proposed to while we were there. It was very nice the while restaurant congratulated the happy couple. It was nice to dress up and go to a nice brunch looking out at the water. We had a window seat looking out to the harbor.
On travel with a colleague and this joint was on his list! Started out with the calamari... flash fried crispy coating over a decent portion of squid..tubes and tentacles. Served with a marinara and tartar...both good options. I opted for the private labeled amber...good local brew! I couldn't avoid the lump crab cakes...I had a hard time finding any filler! Served with seasoned beans and creamy mashed potatoes...huge portion! I was stuffed already, but the waiter mentioned butter cake, and I was sold... wonderful dense cake with strawberries and topped with ice cream. Wonderful! Ambiance is swashbuckling seaside, service was friendly and helpful, and prices are in line with area.
Great dinner location in the heart of Baltimore inner harbor with views that are perhaps one of the best in the city.
First brunch buffet experience but note that I did visit this place for dinner and didn't write a review until now. Anyway, here it goes! The staff here were super friendly, shoutout out to Alex for taking care of our table. Ambiance: I love that this place overlooks the beautiful harbor and on a perfect day, it's the most peaceful thing to look at whether from your table or the benches outside. Food and drinks: we were there on Mother's Day for their brunch buffet which was $79 per person with unlimited mimosas, peach bellini, juices, sweet tea, coffee, or tea. I ordered the peach bellini and it was absolutely refreshing. Some of my family ordered the mimosas and they enjoy it. Other family members ordered the sweet tea and juices and they enjoyed their beverages. Buffet selection: my favs from the buffet: Spiced roasted salmon with Lobster Creme & Aleppo Chili P.E.I. Mussels alla Puttanesca Cheesy grits with scallops Prime ribs Shucked local oysters Favorite dessert: crème brûlée Least favorite: fried Brussels sprouts- they were way too oily. Overall, I enjoyed the time with my family and buffet options but I was not too fond of some of the selections because they were either too oily or not flavorful.
We finished family and revisited this resturant that I was in in 2003. It is just as awesome as it was. We had the Baltimore fish fry. I was delicious . We had a good dinner salad also. The view of the water and the dining experience was awesome . There were many windows to see the view , The servers were nice, we had a reservation and they were getting busier as we left. We walked outside and it was amazing
Buffet style with good food. - dessert section - waffle station - carved meat station - breakfast and lunch type options Don't forget the brunch is bottomless: mimosas, Bellini or champagne Live music The crowd was friendly! A lot of people directly from church. After enjoying our food we walked around the water.
